On 1st November Electronic Arts(EA) released the demo of next installment of Need for Speed series, NFS ProStreet. The game is due to launch on 14th November. After last years disappointing NFS Carbon release, I have high hopes from this one.
This time EA went for more realism instead of arcade gameplay. The graphics are notched up a lot than NFS Carbon. The demo has 2 gameplay modes, Grip and Speed modes. EA has added the damage system to the game for much needed realism to it.
My System Specification.
Intel Core 2 2.2
Intel 965 mobo,
Corsair 2 GB ram in dual channel mode(1066mhz)
Geforce 7600GT 256mb with Zalman cooling solution
Creative T6060 5.1 speaker system.
Viewsonic 19” widescreen LCD panel
Seagate 360GB HDD
The demo ran quite smooth on my system at 1024×68x85 resolution and everything turned to high. I was a bit worried since NFS Most Wanted had known issues of fps drop occasionally. NFS ProStreet continued the legacy of compiling impressive set of music this time too but again missing on the adding custom user music playlist while racing. And yeah it also has my favourite track “Fuck More-Junkie XL feat Lauren Rocket”, wonder this game will be played mostly by teens. The rating of this game is ‘E’ 10+!!!.
Here’s some captures while playing the demo in 1024×768 resolution on above system specifications.
